The Sacred Window - Your Six Week Postpartum Sanctuary

Forty-two days to be nourished, tended to, and deeply held.

The first weeks after birth are not meant to be rushed through.

They are a sacred threshold. A time when your body is healing, your nervous system is recalibrating, and you are learning the rhythms of life with your baby.

Ayurveda recognizes the first 42 days after birth as a profound window of restoration. A time for warmth. Rest. Nourishment. Loving touch. Simple rituals. And, perhaps most importantly, receiving.

The Sacred Window is an intimate six-week postpartum experience devoted entirely to the mother.

Three days each week, I come into your home and tend to you.

I prepare warming, deeply nourishing meals. I steep herbs and make tea. I warm the oil for your body. I tend your womb and belly. I create space for you to soften, eat, rest, feed your baby, and simply be.

This is postpartum care as I believe it was always meant to be.

Here, the mother is mothered.

The First 42 Days

In Ayurveda, the care a mother receives during the first six weeks after birth is believed to have an impact far beyond the immediate postpartum period.

Birth leaves the body open, tender, depleted, and transformed.

Rather than asking a mother to quickly return to normal life, traditional postpartum care invites her inward.

Toward warmth instead of cold.

Cooked, nourishing foods instead of depletion.

Oil and loving touch instead of pushing through.

Rest instead of productivity.

Receiving instead of doing.

The Sacred Window protects this time.

For six weeks, your only work is to heal, bond, rest, and become.

Allow me to care for you, so that you can care for your baby.

Your Home Becomes Your Sanctuary

Imagine knowing that three days each week, someone is coming specifically to care for you.

There is tea steeping.

Something warm and fragrant is simmering on the stove.

Your kitchen fills with the scent of ghee, spices, herbs, broths, and freshly prepared food chosen specifically for this stage of your recovery.

You eat while the food is warm.

You are wrapped in blankets and given permission to rest.

Warm herbal oil is slowly worked into your skin through Abhyanga, helping you return to your body after the immense opening of birth.

Your belly is lovingly wrapped and supported.

Herbs are prepared.

Your cup is refilled.

And before I leave, there is nourishment waiting for you for later.

Each visit unfolds around what you and your body need that day.

Before Baby Arrives

Our work begins before birth.

A prenatal session gives us time to prepare your home, your body, and your postpartum environment for the weeks ahead. Together, we'll consider your nourishment, household rhythms, birth plans, preferences, and the kind of care you envision receiving.

So when baby arrives, you can turn inward.

The Sacred Window Begins at Birth

As labor begins, I am notified so I can begin preparing for your arrival into postpartum.

While you are bringing your baby earthside, I am preparing the first foods that will meet you on the other side.

Whether you give birth at home or in the hospital, your first postpartum nourishment will be prepared and brought to you—warm, grounding, easy to digest, and intentionally chosen for those tender first hours after birth.

As the days unfold, your meals evolve alongside you. We slowly build nourishment as your digestion strengthens, introducing foods, herbs, spices, healthy fats, and restorative preparations at the pace your body is ready to receive them.

From your first warm bowl after birth through the completion of your 42-day window, you are held.

This Is Your Time to Receive

So much attention turns toward the baby after birth.

I turn my attention toward the mother.

The woman whose body has just done something extraordinary.

The woman who needs to eat. To sleep. To be touched. To be witnessed.

The Sacred Window is an invitation to experience postpartum differently—not as a race back to yourself, but as a sacred season worthy of protection.

A slow return to your body.
A deep exhale.
A remembering that you, too, were born.

RESERVE YOUR SACRED WINDOW

Testimonials

  • Madison is amazing! She really helped me through my postpartum recovery. Her massages were so relaxing I’d doze off mid-session — which says it all! As a new mom the exhaustion is real, and her nourishing meals made such a difference. The soups, snacks and spiced milk were delicious and felt like exactly what my body needed. She knows what she’s doing, is so kind and always has a smile. So happy I had her support — my only regret is not knowing her when I had my first child!

    Bhuvana

  • I had the Sacred Window package with Earthside Herbals, and it was exactly what I needed. The bodywork and meals were deeply nourishing helped put my body back together again. I’m so grateful to have had this support. Do yourself a favor and line this up for yourself postpartum!

    Jory

  • Madison supported me from pregnancy all the way through my postpartum window, starting with nourishing teas that helped ease my nausea and carrying that same intentionality into every meal she made after my daughter arrived. The first four weeks postpartum were a blur, and yet I still find myself thinking about those warm, lovingly crafted bowls. That says everything. She was simply born to nurture. Her energy is tender and sincere in a way that's rare, and it came through in every single thing she prepared. I genuinely don't know how I would have gotten through this chapter without her.I was so sad when our six weeks together ended. I cannot recommend Madison enough - if you're lucky enough to work with her, say yes without hesitation.
